With a decade of experience spanning editorial, advertising, and digital, I’ve written cover stories and long-form features for ELLE Canada, ELLE Québec, and Air Canada enRoute, and developed branded narratives for global clients through Sid Lee. I’ve also recently co-written an Apple Music radio show and scripted a campaign video for L’Oréal.

S’il a été proclamé « joueur le plus intéressant de la NFL » par le Kansas City Star, c’est que Laurent Duvernay-Tardif a bien fait ses devoirs. Seul footballeur actif de la ligue à obtenir un doctorat en médecine, le garde pour les Chiefs de Kansas City est le deuxième Québécois dans l’histoire à fouler le gazon synthétique au Super Bowl, au sein de l’alignement régulier d’une équipe. Dans quelques jours, le Doc, tel que baptisé par ses coéquipiers, disputera à leurs côtés le match le plus important de sa carrière, contre les 49ers de San Francisco. Sous le casque et l’épaulière du gaillard de 28 ans, une détermination aussi solide que le trophée Vince-Lombardi et des idées de grandeur qui surpassent largement son 1,96 m.

Survivre à la première année
Les dernières années ont été difficiles pour l’industrie de la restauration au Québec. Le cas de restos à peine ouverts puis forcés de fermer leurs portes rapidement est récurrent, et les nombreux locaux à louer dans des quartiers reconnus comme avantageux pour la restauration semblent indiquer que l’industrie est plutôt mal en point.
